Neal Mathis holds multiple degrees (B.S. and M.Min) from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. He worked for 10 years as a youth minister in Ohio (Fishinger & Kenny Church of Christ, Columbus) and Kentucky (Henderson Church of Christ, Henderson). Neal worked with the Tompkinsville Church of Christ as their pulpit minister from 2014 to 2021.

Neal now works as a full-time Bible teacher in the Upper School at Foundation Christian Academy in Bowling Green and is a minister at the Three Forks church of Christ.

He is married to Ashley (Cottingham) and the father of Molly, Max, and Maggie. He grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky attending the Lehman Avenue Church of Christ.
